Synagis 2nd year

Ds doesn't meet the criteria for the under two shots. Does that mean he definitely won't get it? When I talked to the insurance company they said it was covered but I'm wondering if that's enough if he doesn't qualify.

  • If he doesn't qualify you will likely have to pay oop to get it. I'm sorry.

  • Ok. I just wasn't sure if the insurance co had the final word or if the pharm co did. It seems odd that if insurance will cover it that they won't give it!

  • The insurance company probably meant it's covered, as in it's a therapy/drug that they do pay for, but you'll still need to meet the qualifications in order to get it paid for. You'll need to be both covered and qualified.

  • ok thanks... that makes more sense. When they said they covered it I thought they meant that it would be approved. i doubt we will but we'll try anyway!
