Hoping for a longer cycle

I feel sad,  I'm actually hoping I have a longer cycle this month.   DH and I are staying at my parents house next week for Christmas. We will be there for CD 13 to 20,  and I'm pretty sure there will be no chance for sex.  The walls are paper thin at my parents house and it's way too cold outside for backseat sex. 

This is my 3rd cycle since I went off BCP, so I can't really predict what's going to happen this cycle. Last cycle I think I O'd on CD 24 (using OPK/no temps).   I'm really hoping I don't O until after CD 20 again, when we are back at home and can get back to business.  *mother nature please cooperate*

Anyone else out there in the same boat?

    Nope... I was at Thanksgiving though. 

    Now I'm just fighting in my head about when I'd rather DH deploy.... before I O again so that he can be here for my birthday and graduation (He's missed the last three birthdays), or stay home for a few more cycles, but miss my birthday and gradation.

    Can you not have quiet sex?  And even if they heard you do you think they think you and DH don't have sex?  Maybe my family is just more open or something, but I know they wouldn't mind even if they did hear it.  You parents did it when you were in the house at some point so what's the difference?

    Oh... and when I say I was in the "same boat" at Thanksgiving.... I wasn't totally... We don't care if anyone hears us.... but the neice sleeps on the floor in the same room every time we're there.  We had ONE night alone and believe you me, we took advantage!  (And only got four hours of sleep because of it... the neice slept in her parents' room since we were waking up early to go to Black Friday sales)

    What a bummer!  Next time I'd tell her parents she needs to sleep with them.   About a month ago my mom told me when I was conceived there was a 2 year old and 4 year old sleeping in the room.  I told her that she and my father were dirty people. haha.

    I had the same thing a while back, we were at the ILs for a weekend. They know we're TTC, so sex isn't a big deal, but I of course don't really want them to hear us. We have quiet sex or bathroom sex with the shower running...I  mean we're married, allowed to shower together if we want to, so what else we're doing who cares.

    I'd say go for it however you have to!! You could use some preseed or preconceive to get you "ready" and do more quiet activities to your DH and then let him finish quietly to try for baby.

    I'm sure they have sex in that house with the paper thin walls and I'm guessing you've never heard them...

    Ya, I don't know, I'm hoping we get some alone time during the week.  Even though I'm 26 and DH and I have been together 8+ years,  I still get weirded out about having sex while my parents are sleeping in the next room beside us, no matter how quiet we make it.  We've done it before,  but it wasn't enjoyable.  I think it's because sex is a taboo subject with my parents.  We just don't talk about it. I didn't even have the period talk with my mom growing up.  His parent's house on the other hand, everything is an open book.

    Ha ha... yea... I haven't O'd yet and suspect I will soon. I will be staying with DD in the same hotel room on Fri night and then we are staying with my mom from Sat-Sunday night (more than a week!). I don't care how we have to do it. We will have sex! LOL

    They just moved into a new house a couple of years ago (after I moved out) where the guest room is beside their room.  In the house I grew up in, I was at the opposite side of the house, I didn't hear anything.  DH and I have many fond memories of that house ;)

    In all honesty, I say do what you have to do to get the job done. I knew I was going to be O'ing over Thanksgiving and DH and I got a hotel for that very reason. It was the cycle I got my bfp...best money ever spent. Is there nothing you can do?
