  This is the exact reason why I wont buy from friends because it's difficult to complain later.

  I would definitely let her know that she spelled your LO's name incorrectly and ask her to correct it. This kind of stuff is exactly the reason I invested in a nice digital camera when DD1 was born, read up a little on getting good shots and just take the kids pics myself. Short of a bad experience with DD1's 3 month pictures (fueling my decision to not do pro pics anymore), I have never gotten either child's pictures professionally taken. I love the pics we get and between Shutterfly and Snapfish's offers, I've never paid more than half price for a photo book (so usually around 15 bucks, plus shipping) and oftentimes get it for free (just pay shipping)!

  As a photographer on the side I'll add my two cents

  1. The misspelling is unacceptable. She needs to redo that even if it eats her profit. Good grief!

  2. Did you view any of her sample pics/portfolio beforehand? Always know what quality you're getting before you pay any photographer.

  I saw some pics, she's just starting out so doesn't have a lot in her portfolio, so I was trying to give her some experience.... Now she's wanting to do more.... Keeps sending me msgs to arrange more sessions... She said for free, I want to just to try and get my money's worth but then want to say screw it.... Why waste my time, she sucks! Lol
