thanks urgent care clinic for nothing!

i am quickly going downhill with this cold, i KNOW it's a sinus infection brewing since i feel 1000% like crap.   my primary care dr is a royal douche, the one who wouldnt give me the pertussis vaccine.  i haven't switched dr's yet so i was hoping the dumb walk in clinic would just give me something. 

 i went in 40 mins before they closed and they said they weren't taking anymore patients, even though there was only ONE person ahead of me.    i begged and pleaded with the nurse and said "but i am nine months pregnant! i am dying!"  lol   she refused to see me with the reasoning that since i have only felt "this bad for a few days' , she assumes its not an infection, and they normally wait TEN DAYS of someone feeling bad before antibiotics.   

i said what? TEN DAYS????  and then did this

then i bought 5000 more boxes of tissues, and got in my car and cried HAHA. now back to douche dr tomorrow who will prob deny me anything TOO. i am trapped in hell!

    Wouldn't it clear up on its own in 10 days anyway?! Why should you have to suffer that whole time? Sounds like they were just being lazy. Why didn't they just lock the doors if they weren't taking anyone else? Jerks.

    there are definitely more, but then i have to check to see which take my insurance, which are open late etc... seems like too much work hhahaaa

    Call your OB tomorrow and tell them what happened. Mine has prescribed stuff before.

    I called my OB last week for a sinus infection, I called day 1 and the said call back tomorrow if your not feeling better, it went downhill so fast I called the next day and they were like we need to wait one more day, I called the next day and told them if I didn't get antibiotics I would be going to L&D, they of course called over the anitbiotics and 2 days later I felt like a new woman! 

    It was so bad, I had never ever ever been that sick, ever.

    P.S. Urgent care wouldn't see me since I was pregnant, they referred me to the OB. You might run into that problem too

    I had a horrific head cold - major congestion, coughing, sore throat. I basically did not sleep for a week and have been absolutely miserable. They had me take Sudafed for congestion, basic robitussin for my cough (did nothing), and cough drops (did the best). 1 whole week of misery...today it's finally (mostly) gone.  Hope your experience is shorter; I know how bad it sucks.

    In the mean time, you should try Benadryl and your bed! It's on my safe list and has saved me so many times this pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon.

    Aw sorry I know how you feel I just had a cold last week. I stuff my face with Tylenol as soon as I started sneezing to keep it from getting to bad but was still miserable. I hope that your OB or pcp will give something.

    this is true however, i never, ever present with these usual symptoms.... but when they look up my nose they can tell it's f'd up haha.

    See if yor OB can prescribe you something. When I had a sinus infection over the summer he checked me out and prescribed an antibiotic. Thank goodness!

    That blows. Talk about ignorant :( I ran into this last week and my Midwife told me Tylenol and HydraSense (HydroSense?) would help with the pain and pressure. Good luck!

    Wow that sucks!! I just went in about a sinus infection but told them I'd been feeling this way for 4 nights. I was hesitant about going to the dr but When I called my primary doctor they told me to go in no matter what bc it was important to be healthy for delivery day. I can't believe they didn't help you :( they have no heart!

    Try two table spoons apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and chug! Also try oregano oil too..but if you get it I'm talking 1 drop in your mouth..it's intense!

    Had a sinus infection at the beginning..didn't even have to take antibiotics! Good luck and feel better!
