cleaning car seat

What do you all use to clean your car seat? I don't want to take the entire thing off to wash it...What about the straps?

    I take it apart when she has poo explosions and throw it in the wash but haven't needed to clean the straps

    I just throw the whole seat cushion/fabric in the wash - on my chicco keyfit 30, it's really not that difficult to take off and put on.  It also took a surprisingly short time to air dry.

    I haven't done anything to the straps - but I would read your manual.  It's not recommended to use anything terribly strong on the straps, mostly just a damp rag.

    Those of you that are putting the cover in the wash, what kind of seat do you have? My graco says wipe with damp cloth only...
