The last week or 2 DS has had a major change to his sleep patterns . He used to put himself to sleep and now it takes him close to a half hour to fall asleep before every nap. At night lately he is Tossing and turning a ton , not necessarily waking up just sleeping very restlessly . Not sure if it's teeth or growing pains and a new Milestone but regardless it's been brutal ! Has anyone else experienced this ? I also think he's in the process of dropping to 2 Naps
Oh yea! We are in the 10 to 20 min range for getting to sleep for naps. Sometimes a bit longer. She stands, rolls and crawls around. We're still at three naps here.
DD moves around a lot in her sleep lately, but I think that's just a result of sleep training, now that she can transition herself between sleep cycles. She ends up shifting all over the place to get comfortable again.
She has been taking longer to fall asleep at first at night though. We had her to a point where she'd either fall right to sleep or only cry/fuss for a minute or two. Now 5 to 10 minutes isn't unusual. I think she's getting close to crawling though (hands and feet, our pedi called it a "Jungle Book" crawl, which is a perfect description!), so I think she's just got too much going on in her little head to settle quickly.
We still put her down asleep for naps though, if we try putting her down awake during the day, she either pitches a fit immediately or plays until she gets bored and THEN pitches a fit. :-p
