Dun dun duuunnn..... Progress

It's not Monday but I'm excited so I'm posting some progress...

Saw the RE this morning, and my stats are: 20 follies on the right at 18mm!! And 9 on the left at 13mm!! Excellent lining report also! I may start cetrotide this evening... Waiting on the E2 results. I'll go back on Tuesday... Our ER is still tentative for oct 3rd.

I'm really happy!! Not just for the follies but also for knowing why I constantly feel like I have to PEE!!

That's awesome! I just had my appt too and totally know what you mean about constantly having to pee! And when you do pee, you really gotta take your time and push because it feels so cramped up in there! lol!

My ER will be the 2nd so we're almost cycle buddies

You too! And yes the pushing! I couldn't fall asleep last night because I had to go use the restroom a MILLION TIMES... For nothing.

Katekat, my ER should be Wednesday as well!

Aside from all the peeing have you guys been constipated from the meds? Every U/S my tech has been like "wow, you're backed up" and pointing out my bowels on the screen near my left ovary.

I currently have 13 follies ranging from 11mm to 20mm. With an e2 yesterday of 1199. Can't wait to see tomorrow how they're doing. Good luck pumpkins!

Holy moly the constipation! I'm not going to lie I did use a laxative the other night because I was so uncomfortable! It was the best thing I could do for myself!

I was going to ask about laxatives tomorrow but I decided "screw the no caffeine" and have had two cups of coffee and now gone three times in four hours, sweet relief! I aso bought prune juice at Target this morning. Dh joked "when is your Medicaid check arriving?" since I'm acting like an old lady about it but I was like 'when was the last time you went four days?' and he's left me alone since. LOL.

Jumping in to say.... @katib77 if you are already backed up, start on Colace or something similar now and continue it through ER! I waited to start prune juice until after ER, so I wouldn't be too "loose" for going under. It's perfectly safe and you will be much happier after ER. And don't forget to stay really hydrated.

Haha!!! Your DH is funny! I didn't ask my RE about the laxatives :-\"
He is just very conservative and probably would tell me no... But maybe I'm selfish... But I checked the ingredients and they aren't above a level b... Same as benedryl and Tylenol so I feel ok about taking it. We can't live backed up it just makes us feel worse. They do make glycerin suppositories for babies for their constipation... Works like a charm for them...

Yes, I was totally constipated from the meds (and heartburn and cramping and lots of EWCM... it's been a joy over here I tell ya!) I'm glad that you were able to get relief! You gotta do what you gotta do

I have had a cup of coffee once during stims, and it was heaven. HEAVEN!!

@twistsandturnsto2 I remember you posting a week (or two?) ago about starting Colace early and it really helped! My worst day was probably day 6 stims, and being constipated on top of bloated just made it awful. I'm glad that you posted that because I would probably not have started them early and then just been super miserable!

My scan today still showed a boatload of follies still (he doesn't even bother to count anymore) around 16-17mm. Lining is 10.5 and e2 is really, really high. We're coasting the meds at this point and I've been on only 100 units follistim for the past 3 days (no menopur the past 2 days).

Our nurse was cute when she saw the ultrasound... she said "oh wow, looks like we're going to be in there for awhile on Wednesday! Follie party!" lol. The amount of follies and high e2 makes me a little nervous though. I am prepared to feel like crapola after ER!

@katekat8721 yes, it's amazing how fast it seems to be going now that we're in it. How high is you e2? Any concerns on OHSS? Are you on ganirelix or centroid? I was told the ganirelix is keeping my e2 down. I was concerned earlier because it was low but heard from others that the ganirelix is the cause.

@katib77 - yeah, unfortunately there are concerns about OHSS. I don't have my results from this morning but my e2 level on Friday was 3900. When he first counted them all (first monitoring appt) it was about 50 follies around 11mm. He says they're all continuing to grow and now they range from 14-17mm. It's crazy! I am on 100g protein a day, gatorade and lots of water. We've been coasting to try to slow down some of the growth. I'm anxious to see how tomorrow goes!

eta: I haven't heard of ganirelix, hmm I wonder if that would have helped. I'm on follistim/menopur/lupron.

@katekat, lupron and gairelix are supposed to do similar things (in suppressing LH to avoid early ovulation from what I understand) but with that many follies, I'm not surprised your e2 is crazy high. FX the ohss stays at bay.
