Speaking of spotting...

So around 10 this morning I get a pretty significant gush of brown blood in my underwear. Not spotting, we're talking middle of my period gush. I am so incredibly thankful that my OB's office has a 24/7 on call doctor who, on the weekends, is at Labor and Delivery so I got to avoid a) the ER or b) waiting around in a panic for however long.
Long story short, baby is good and flopping around so much it's hard to pin it down with the doppler. Nice strong heartbeat. It was old blood, but there was no apparent source for it. Only theory is that I overdid it with yard work yesterday and... who knows, really. Doctor was super nice and checked to make sure there was no leaking amniotic fluid and it turns out I have the mildest of yeast infections.
Fortunately my next OB appointment is a week from tomorrow, which is when they would have wanted to see me again to check up on things, so all I need to do is take it very easy and keep an eye out for bad cramping or more bleeding.
Dear baby, I know that the worry never really ends during pregnancy, but 13 weeks and after a good NT scan? Gimme a break! Love, your freaked out mama.
