My older son was tested by an allergist & had a confirmed milk and egg allergy at 6 months. They tested him again at a year & he was still allergic, so we did soy milk. Retested at 18 months & he'd outgrown it.
DS2 had similar symptoms to DS1 at 3 weeks. So we just removed dairy from my diet. We never had him tested at the allergist. I intro'ed some dairy into my diet at 9 months & he did fine. We just gave WCM last weekend, and again he did fine.
Symptoms were: Grainy poop, mucous poop, not wanting to eat, slow weight gain, screaming fits, reflux type issues, spitting up.
I stopped eating dairy and it solved a lot. He has been the happiest baby ever since. I started eating dairy around 11 months.
We are pretty sure he's outgrown it. He can eat cheese and yogurt with 0 stool issues or crabbiness. We've also started wcm this week and it seems to be okay.
