Night sweats

Im about a week pp, and the last few nights I've been waking up in the middle of the night with terrible night sweats all over. My chest has like a pool of sweat on it. I'm assuming its because of my crazy hormones right now, but man is it irritating! Anyone else having this issue? (As if my body hasn't been through enough right??)

Re: Night sweats

  • Yes! I am 2 weeks pp and they are starting to get a little better. At first I didnt realize they were my hormones and just thought I was sleeping in too many clothes. Other than at night I have been freezing!

  • I'm either shaking because I'm so cold or sweating profusely!
  • Yes! I remember having it even worse with my first, but it's definitely annoying to wake up in a pool of sweat. Especially because then I get up to feed and am freezing because of the wet clothes! Definitely hormones and definitely normal.

  • I've been cold all the time. Poor dh had always been warmer than me to begin with but now it's even worse! And yes at night I'm always warm. So fun living in Florida!
  • I actually have a couple shirts I keep next to the bed and I end up changing my shirts before feeding. Between night sweats and leaky boobs I go through three shirts a night!

  • This is happening to me! I'm 3weeks past delivery and it still happens. Try sleeping in a bath robe.
  • I had this with my first and it's just as bad this time. I am 3.5 weeks PP and I think it's finally stopping now.

  • Yep, just woke up in my third pool of sweat for the night! And yes, during the day I am also freezing to death. Sometimes I even have to bring a giant blanket to bed with me to stop my shivering..which doesn't help the sweats once I fall asleep. :(
  • Same here. I'm now 4 weeks post delivery and it's been getting better but i thought for a while that it was just stress. I would wake up in a pool of cold sweat and be so cold but so wet.
  • I got to bed freezing and use a blanket on top of our sheet and regular blanket. In the middle of the night I have to take the top blanket off because I'm hot and sweating. I thought it was just our mattress making me hot (Tempurpedic). By the morning, I'm cold again and put the top blanket back on.

  • Yup, normal. I'm 9 days pp and just started having night sweats 2 nights ago. Annoying, but normal.
