DH ruined date night...twice!

Last weekend I had told DH we were going to take LO to my moms, go have dinner and then come back for alone time before picking her up. I told my mom about it and she was so excited. It needs to be Saturday because he is glued to the TV all day Sunday for football. His mom comes to visit EVERY weekend. I told him to tell her come on Sundays now since he stays in all day anyway. Well, last weekend he forgot and his mom came on Saturday so that was one night ruined. Last night was take two and even more special since I'm going back to work on Monday. We get to my moms to drop LO off and my best friend walks in the door. DH had invited her and our other friends, but she was the only one that could make it. My mom says, oh I thought you were having a romantic night thus making my friend feel bad and I almost cried in front of everyone. DH got mad that I said that to my parents. My friend tried to help me out by saying she would drive separate so we could do our thing after, but by that point DH was being such a tool that I didn't want to have sex with him anymore. We ate in less than two hours and were back home. Here's the kicker: once home, he wanted to DTD! I washed bottles and went to bed. I know he was trying to do a nice thing, but we see our friends all the time. I just wanted one romantic, baby free night with him before I went back to work.

    Sorry your DH was so clueless about having a date night. I understand wanting to have one night before returning to work. DH and I did that. Hopefully he makes it up to you!

    That sucks! And DH shouldn't be mad of "romantic night" that could mean various things sometimes just being alone are some of the best romantic nights

    Guys are so insensitive sometimes ... Ok they're flag out dumb sometimes. Have a glass if wine and treat yourself to some online baby shopping - that usually makes me feel better. Good luck going back to work!
