My Doula posted this on Facebook today and it's bang on. If you're a FTM I highly suggest getting a doula. Mine helped make my labor experience awesome.

    I had JUST decided to call and set up an initial appointment with a local Dula when I saw this.   I'm feeling more relaxed about this whole thing already!  Thanks for the post!  (Dulas are like unicorns!)

    Ahhh, I just died, that was too funny. My favorite line was "She’ll basically be the opposite of that vapid bitch you call your mother-in-law."  =D>

    DH and I weren't sure about hiring a doula, but I really wanted my placenta encapsulated so we met with one, and we decided during the meeting with her that we wanted to hire her. She. Is. Awesome. I'm two days overdue with my first, so I haven't actually experienced birth (with or without a doula), but I really feel confident that we made the right decision and that she'll be a huge asset during labor and delivery.
