Success! (AW)

Our apartment search trip and DD's first overnight trip away from home was a success! DD fell asleep pretty easily in the hotel both nights and slept through the night. We found a 3 bedroom apartment all on one level in a brand new complex that is just down the street from DH's job and really close to grocery stores and lots of other shopping. There is also a nice lake with a walking trail around it across the street. We are really excited!

Of course, MIL emailed DH the night we got there to say she was really worried about the extreme downsizing that we were doing and she felt sure we could find a nice home to live in if we looked a little further away from DH's job. She said she was just worried about DD and just wanted the best for her....MIL had already made her opinion about this abundantly clear and she knew that every apartment we were looking at was over 1,000 sq ft. I have no idea how DH deals with them. As we speak he is on the phone with them reassuring them that it is not a big deal that we are going to give away our lawn mower.
