Too early to drop?

I have officially dropped and I'm only 33 weeks! (FTM Here) I have so much pelvic pressure and peeing more (which I didn't think was possible). Should I be worried about going into early labor?? The only plus is that I can breathe a lot better! I'm obviously going to call my doctor on Monday, but just wanted some advice before hand. This boy was already carrying low, but now it feels like he just wants to drop out!

Re: Too early to drop?

  • They can drop and float back up many times before actually engaging in your cervix. Some women don't drop until the are in labor so unfortunately it is not a sign of how soon labor will begin.

  • Also, the extra pressure can be from the increased size of the baby. I told my dr this week about increased lower pressure and he said the size can do it.

  • Thanks! I just feel like a sitting duck!
  • My little lady dropped today at 34 weeks. Means nothing but was kind of exciting for me. Although my small bump is even smaller.. Her buns are way lower.. My maternity pants won't stay up.. And earlier when I peed I felt like I could push her right out then and there! Unfortunately I do know they can drop and come back up and has NO indicator on when labor is.
  • My LO dropped about 3 weeks ago and I called the dr. because I'm a paranoid FTM. :)  Unfortunately, over the last week LO has climbed back up and now I'm back to having feet in my ribs and not breathing very easily.

  • Ill be 34 weeks Tuesday and I'm feeling pressure and uncomfortable down there. I too think my son dropped and my belly looks lower. It is kind of nice to be able to breathe again.
