Hi ladies! I'm a FTM due in a few weeks and I have a question about bottle nipples...yes on the breastfeeding board. lol
I'm planning/hoping to breastfeed successfully, but I want to have the option to pump and bottle feed as well. I was wondering if you could tell me about bottle nipple size appropriate for babies who are also breastfeeding. I tried doing some internet research, but I'm just confused. Sorry if this has been posted before...search didn't help much either.
Yup, slow flow nipples. Tommee Tippee and Medela slow flows were too fast for my LO, but once we switched to playtex ventaire wide, she did great! You might have to try a few, so don't invest in a bunch of bottles til you know she'll take them!

This exactly. We loved our Playtex nipples. We actually used them on the Drop-ins bottles.
I've been using the Medela Calma nipple. It seems to be working well for us. I can only imagine if I tried to use a regular nipple how fast he would devour a bottle! They're expensive and I only have a few since I'm usually nursing him anyway!
@CLLDLL actually that's what I wanted to start with - the drop ins... I lived with my sister when my niece was born... and she had terrible digestive issues, but they worked best. So I figured I'd start there.
