Evap Line Eyewitness Testimony

I think I just had my very first evap line experience ( for those of you curious, it was an internet cheapie not a name brand). I guess that is what I get for examining the test 8 hours after I took the darn thing. Then, hoping it was an early BFP (the whole time telling myself BFPs are pink or blue not GREY dumb butt, I peed on ten thousand other brands in my stash and they were all stark white...annnd now I'm cramping. Lovely.

I'm going to go eat some ice cream now and watch tv in my yoga pants.

On to the next!

    Sorry about that, it's a mind fuck, isn't it?  And then the experience of getting BFN after BFN - feels a little like being gutted.  

    I'm ahead of you, though - I've been in my yoga pants for 2 hours.  Here's to elastic waistbands!

    What dpo are you? Evap lines and hpt mind-games are the devil...but for some reason we keep going back for more... Eat the crap outta that ice cream, it's the hpt's fault anyway!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Bummer! Fwiw I get false positives (actual pinks) and evaps on the wondfo cheapies pretty regularly. At least once or twice per bag. Not sure what type of cheapies you're using, but it comes with the territory :(

    Ugh I'm sorry. What a mind eff. Don't those HPTs know that evap lines are especially cruel to 2IFers? I swear if I ever see a real line again I won't believe it.

    I'm going to sit back, wait for AF, and plan next cycle. This cycle has turned out to be long and weird. I think I'm somewhere between 8-10 DPO.

    Yea, this is exactly where I'm at now too. I'm already planning to call the RE on Monday to move forward with IVF. I'm so over this shit.. *sigh*

    Yea, I was super hopeful and my chart was looking pretty amazing until yesterday. My temp basically crashed and is continuing to drop. I'm pretty sure I'm out  8-X \m/ :-q =(( :)]

    Was this your first IUI? It can take up to 3. But, I don't blame you if you would rather sink your efforts into IVF.

    Yea it was my 1st. Honestly I wouldn't even bother trying it again after the RE gave us a 10% success rate. Even with the IVF she said 45% success rate   %-(

    :( It's awful isn't it?! I had 2 evap lines like 3 months ago on Wondfos. I was like 12-13dpo and it didn't show up within the time limit & was super super light but I STILL convinced myself it was BFP. Since then, I haven't taken a HPT. It broke my spirit of peeing on things! I just wait for AF. It's much less disappointing than a BFN.
