Yes, LO will get one. She is young and so is her immune system. Daycare breeds germs. She will have to get two doses, according to the Pedi. I've already scheduled them.

LO had her first dose at her 9 month appointment, and will get the 2nd dose at her 1 year appointment. After seeing LO with just a cold, I don't want to mess with her getting the flu, so if this reduces her chances of getting the flu, I'm on board. Flu deaths are often babies and elderly, so the flue shot is worth it IMO.
I think at this age the flu shot is a 2-part series. I didn't ask for anything special-- that is what they recommended for LO's age. I think it's standard?
It is two doses at my doctor as well. It wasn't out yet for his 9 month, so I have to go back between now and his 12 month as there needs to be a month space between the two doses.
Yeah my doc said if they are younger than a year they need two shots at least a month a part to be covered. I wasn't going to do it but since Z is in daycare now, I'll be getting it for him. I don't get the flu shot but I feel he needs it at this point. Speaking of which, I should call the Pedi at lunch time since they got the flu shots in finally and get that setup .
This is what I forgot to ask the pedi about at B's 9 month appt. I knew I had another question! Thanks for the reminder... I'll be calling tomorrow to schedule it.
K got her first one at her 9 month appointment. Her next is scheduled for her 12 month, but I will more than likely get her in sooner. With my dad being in the hospital, I would rather not wait.
The new pedi we're switching to offers the Thimerosal free one so we might get that one after she's a year old. I'm leaning towards not getting it though because it doesn't have a very good success rate anyway. For vaccinations, the risk has to be worth the reward.
Yes he is getting it. My neighbors baby died from the flu when I was a kid. I got the shot last year but still got the flu. A weird strain hit this area in March. I was scared shitless and didn't touch DS for a week. I wish they could put all the strains in.
