5-6 day luteal phase

Hi ladies,    I have an appointment next week with my ob and am going to ask for a referral to an RE  I have been tracking my cycles and I am getting my AF at 21 and 22 days with a 5 or 6 day luteal phase.

I am getting so disgusted because I don't know of anyone that had this issue.   Have any of you dealt with this and had it resolved.  Thank you so much for any and all information.

    Yup. I had a short LP in addition to spotting during my LP every cycle. My LP was longer and the spotting stopped as soon as I started medicated cycles. Even on Clomid with progesterone support that issue was fixed. It took me two failed Clomid cycles, three failed injectable IUI cycles, and a failed IVF before we had success with IVF #2. I also had two miscarriages along the way and count those as failed cycles. When we went back to TTC again we were successful with our first FET. For us it was a long journey, but it was all worth it. IF just sucks, and I wish you weren't facing it. Hoping you find your success very soon hon!

    I had a short lp. One time it was only 3 days.You mmight try b6 although it never did much for me. I think a referal to an re is an excellent idea. They can do cd 3 testing and 7 dpo testing. Although it sounds like you would not make it to 7 dpo. They may also be able to supplement you with progesterone.
    IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
    2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
    BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
    Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
    BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014

    My LP is sh!t too.  Mine was fixed with Clomid and progesterone (and an IUI but we have male factor too).  I also got it to 12 days through acupuncture and a whole ton of Chinese herbs and supplements if you'd be up to trying a "natural" approach.
