Sick kid

Tell me about your experience with a sick baby.
We just got back from the ped and pharmacy. DD has a slight fever, red throat, fluid behind her ear drums. She is pretty fussy and was tugging at her ear earlier. They prescribed an antibiotic. I asked about giving a probiotic as well and she said it was a good idea. Also, Tylenol every 4 hours. Ugh. I am freaking out over here. Funny  note: the tech at the pharmacy was like "sometimes this upsets their stomachs. You may want to give with some water and crackers." Um, can you give a five month old crackers? Am I the idiot for thinking that was funny (she was clearly visible whole we were having this conversation)? I am rambling. Sorry. Nervous FTM over here. So tell me about. Your experiences with a sick baby. Thanks!

    Sick babies are no fun. Hope she feels better soon. It sounds like you are on top of it though, so good start to recovery!

    And no, you aren't crazy for laughing at the cracker suggestion. Good grief. Didn't she have to verify date of birth in the prescription?

    No advice just sympathy! Warner came down with his first cold last night. Not too bad... just super congested, making for crappy sleep and a super tired baby!

    Also LOL to the crackers and water comment. Priceless. Here ya go, kiddo! Have some saltines with that breastmilk!

    Sending sympathy your way! LO is still getting over a cold that he had last week. Lots of snuggles!

    As for the cracker comment, every time we go to this restaurant by us, the hostess asks if we want a kids menu. It literally kills me every time.

    Cold season seems to be upon us, our poor babies, it is so scary and sad when they are sick. Just snuggle and love her and know that she'll feel better soon.

    Poor little lady. Hope everything kicks in real quick and she starts feeling better soon. It is no fun to watch your little one suffer and feel miserable, and cannot do anything for it. DS has had a fever the past few days and it just breaks my heart. I feel for you. Sending lots of hugs and sympathy your way.
