My dear chicken. I have a buffalo chicken salad in the fridge for lunch today and the thought of eating the chicken on it is making me feel queasy. DH says it's in my head.
No aversions yet but sometimes after I eat I feel like puking. Which is weird because there is no nausea to go with it. My stomach doesn't even get that weird feeling or upset. Or I'll get this headache like pain and feel like puking. So idk what's going on
I don't have any aversions yet, I have a craving for Icecream though. Last time I couldn't eat anything but carbs (meat and veggies were a no go) I'm really hoping that doesn't happen this time. Carb bloat is the worse

Same here! By this point last time, my pants were already not fitting because all I was eating were carbs and LOTS of them! Also, I always have a craving for ice cream. Haha
I got my first aversion two days ago - to coffee of all things. I (usually) really enjoy my coffee. This is probably healthier for me for the time being anyway.

Ditto this I'm having a coffee aversion, it pretty much started right when I got my BFP. I love coffee, too. But the thought grosses me out. Even the smell is terrible, and I love the smell of coffee normally.

Anyone else have aversions yet?
I agree with a PP, super common aversion. I've had it in both of my past pregnancies and am dreading it kicking in. Just walking through that section of the food store, combined with the super sense of smell would make me gag.
I read a theory somewhere that the heightened sense of smell and aversions are primal in that it's your bodies way of keeping you away from things that can be harmful to the mother/baby. Not sure about the truth behind it, but interesting to think about.
Edit: Just reading about ice cream aversions makes me sad. Hope that's a short one for those suffering from it!
I don't have any real aversions yet. Somethings are sounding much better than others, though.
With DD, I hated coffee and peanut butter. I usually love those things. It was kinda sad, but the coffee thing was probably for the best.
Kinipela7 I completely disagree with your DH- Chicken is one of the most common aversions in pregnancy- I have countless friends that wouldn't touch chicken in their first trimester!
Yep, completely agree with the bolded. I couldn't even smell chicken the last time I was pregnant. Even the thought of eating chicken made me queasy. My midwife told me that it is super common. I'm hoping I don't get hit with it this time around, though, because it's the only meat my 3-year-old will touch!
I really wanted eggs on toast for breakfast the other morning. So boyfriend made me on toast with eggs. One bite, I did okay. The next sent me running. Ive had waves of nausea, but never like that. I like eggs. I was/am bummed!
Not sure about an aversion this go around (with my son I literally vomited at the thought of eating day old chicken especially dark meat) but sweet things do not sound appealing to me at all. Like I just want a big schmorgesborg of savory treats and veggies. Such the opposite of when I was pregnant with M.
No aversions yet. I was really lucky with my first pregnancy - aside from getting full quickly and not loving the smell of peanut butter, I didn't have many food issues. Today and yesterday, though, after lunch I felt really queasy. Wondering if my symptom free pregnancy last time will be repeated at all this time, if I'm already dealing with stomach stuff so soon.
Last time I couldn't handle tacos. No eating, no cooking them in the house, and poor DH even had to brush his teeth the second he got home if he had them for lunch! Nothing so far in this one, though.
Nothing yet but my first pregnancy I couldn't even think about salad without getting sick. Hopefully I don't have bad morning sickness again, but if I do it probably won't start for another couple of weeks. Trying to enjoy life and food as much as possible before then!
Any raw beef grosses me out. This saddens me because I love beef. Also ordered a medium rare steak yesterday and couldn't eat it. They brought it back medium we'll and I was ok.
I've only just realized I've been having aversions....I am a sugar addict. Like I can't get enough candy/ice cream, etc. Well for the past week the thought of something sweet makes me nauseous. Also cereal. I have eaten cereal every morning for breakfast for my entire life and now I can't eat it. I end up pouring it down the drain. Really I haven't had much of an appetite for ANYTHING. Maybe I'll lose some of those pesky pounds I was trying to lose before I found out I was pregnant so when I start gaining it won't be so bad lol
