Seabands

For anyone who has tried seabands, do they actually work? I just picked some up and so far nothing. This mix feeling between being on a boat and an empty pit is getting to me.

Re: Seabands

  • I've heard lots of people say they work...but for me, they did absolutely nothing!

  • They work for me!  You have to be sure the little bead/bump thing goes in exactly the right spot.  It should kind of go between those ligaments in your wrist, about 3 fingers away from the heel of your hand.

  • They work for me, I've been wearing since Sunday. Like PP said, you have to make sure they are in the right spot.

  • They help, but aren't a complete fix.

  • They are to be worn for no more than 48 hours at a time and how soon you feel relief changes person to person. For me I don't know why but I like having only the left one on the right one gives me a headache but the left alone is like an instant fix. Granted my nausea isn't too bad yet....knock on wood.

  • They worked for me. They have to be in the perfect position though. And you shouldn't wear them for too long.

  • Nothing for me
  • I gave up.  I adjusted them every which way, and all they did was pull my focus from "gah, my stomach hurts" to "gah, my wrist hurts."

  • They work for me but my nausea isn't that bad. I don't think they work for extreme nausea. Plus like everyone else said, you need to make sure they're in the right spot. I sometimes put a little pen mark on my wrist, so I can whip them on quickly during the day. If I sit at my desk adjusting them, people are going to ask what i'm doing and they're going to find out i'm pg before I want them to.

  • I got some yesterday and they started helping after about 30 minutes but I still feel nauseous on and off. It definately makes it managable though!
  • Can I take back my previous statement? I just had my first throw up sesh and the seabands did nothing to prevent it.
