Mirena IUD

Hey there ladies! I wasn't sure which board to post on (I haven't been on here in forever) so I decided Chit Chat would be the best. I got the Mirena IUD almost a year ago after I had my son. Lately, after my husband and I have intercourse (sorry tmi) I bleed for a few days. He also says he feels the IUD during..Is this a normal thing, the bleeding and my husband feeling it?

    Do you check regularly for the strings? IUDs can be expelled from the uterus, so if you haven't already, reach up and check to see if you can find strings or (hopefully not!) the IUD itself. Also,calling your doctor/midwife would be a good idea, too, just to be safe.
