Questions for agency

Total newb question here.

I have a phone appt. with an agency tomorrow. We've exchanged emails, I've explained our situation, and told her that we are just beginning to explore adoption after stopping TTC.

What kinds of questions would you ask? I'm not looking to commit to an agency right now but am just wanting to get a feel for things.

Started TTC July 2012. Missed m/c & d&c 9/12 11w. Natural m/c 1/13 6w. Chemical pgs 3/13 & 8/13 around 4w. Currently TTA while saving for adoption.

    What is their fee structure; how much and when

    Do they charge on a sliding scale

    Do they have different tracks/fees based on race of the child

    Do they place with single people, gays/lesbians

    Do they have a religious affiliation and is it a factor in placement

    How long since they updated their license

    Ratio of placements to waiting families (close to 1:1 is best)

    Will they give you a list of references, including people with failed matches
    What happens to committed money and your spot on the waiting list if a match falls through

    What kind of counseling is provided to all members of the triad

    How are birthparent expenses handled

    What are post placement lawyer fees like

    Can they work with you if you find your own e-parents

    What their homestudy process is like
