    Might be a little early as things that are available now, may not be in a few months due to changes with styles, seasons, and sales. I didn't have a bridal shower, but we registered for our wedding a couple months prior.

    I did three months out. But we did our china and things that wouldn't discontinue earlier. Crate and Barrel moves it's stuff along a lot so they prefer you wait so there isn't just a lot of out of stock stuff.
