Register time????

in 2nd Trimester
Ok this is my first pregnancy! I am ONLY 16 weeks and have been getting pressure to register!!! I just got my energy back and am really enjoying being pregnant! Iwas thinking more towards the end of 2nd tri.... Any thoughts?? Oh and my shower isn't until December or January!!!

    I vote take your time but complete is at least a month before your shower... and definitely have it finished before people start to Christmas shop! They may pick up your shower gift while they're out shopping for Christmas.

    I did it last weekend. It's a fun experience! I found out the gender a few days before we went. Turns out to be fun for you and Daddy. I registered at buy buy baby and target just cause not everybody has buy buy baby, plus BBB is more expensive. Register when you want to! Once you know the gender, go for it! :)

    Yes! With Christmas coming up, people may want to knock it out in 1 trip, or figure out how to budget.

    I would say it is never to early to start registering for the big stuff.  I spent a ton of time researching each item.  This took a lot longer then I was expecting.  For the little stuff DH and I had a fun day walking thru BRU with the scanning gun picking what we wanted.  Afterwards I updated it online often.  We got a lot of smaller gifts that were similar to the items on our registry, so I would remove the actual one registered for.  I agree with others it cannot hurt to register early, especially with Christmas coming!

    I'm only 16 weeks too and I have been working on it for a few weeks (a little bit at a time). I was really overwhelmed the first time I walked into BRU and I'm big on researching this stuff so I knew it would take a long time for me. At least now I am better informed and if something goes out of stock, I know how to replace it. I say go for it! Registering is fun and you can keep your registry private until you're sure you want what you've put on it :)

    If people want you to register so they can buy things I wish they would just ask what you need. You could go ahead and register any time but keep it up to date, make sure items are in stock and not going on clearance.

    I went with a friend who just had a baby she helped me a ton. We picked out necessities. I then did my own research on big items with the Baby Bargains book. Then once we found out the sex at 20 weeks I finished up with bedding and gender specific items like blankets etc.
