February 2014 Moms

Decided to write a blog!

So...im tired of no one telling me that you might pee when you throw up or that you'll get ugly boob veins LONG before nursing.

I started a blog that shares ALL the sides of pregnancy: TheLovelyLadyLump.blogspot.com

I still have a lot of stuff that I wanna write about that happened a few weeks/months ago, but for now theres a few entries up :)

enjoy!

Re: Decided to write a blog!

  • Ha ha :) One thing that has surprised me is the toilet clogging haha. No idea if this happens to others! I probably would be too embarrassed to write that on a blog though.

  • I love that book by Jenny McCarthy and I think it's called Belly Laughs. It's the same idea all about what nobody tells you about pregnancy.

  • Oh good! I'm going to check it out

Who were you expecting to tell you these things? They don't happen to everyone, but they're common enough and routinely talked about on boards like this, as well as being mentioned in all kinds of books. None of the weird things that have happened to me have really been a surprise.

I hope you have fun writing your blog, though! I'm sure it'll be fun for you to look back on later.
to clarify, i wasnt expecting to be told these things, just surprised when they happened and i hadnt come across them more regularly. Also, Im not saying EVERYTHING im writing about is a "secret" lol im just saying that most mommy blogs ive seen have been much "nicer" and not written as candidly or as "real"...again, not saying they dont exist, just saying the majority of them are more Martha Stewart than Jenny McCarthy lol

so far, most of my friends who have read it love it and said its different than a lot of the ones they've come across...every pregnancy is different of course, but im certainly having fun documenting my personal journey :)

haha yup! i read it about a month into knowing i was pregnant and loved it! shes always been a favorite of mine...i was surprised how quickly i got through her book. i enjoyed it so much that i wish it had been longer!

i know she has a second one about motherhood, ill be reading it soon :)

haha my toilet clogged a few months ago...i quietly wondered if it was because of my lovely morning sickness...im sure it was, but i just let the plumber do his thing hahaha

i have zero filter and my friends know me to be suuuper candid, even before pregnancy, ive always spoken my mind exactly how i feel so when i started posting on FB about different pregnancy "events" a blog felt like a good next step lol
  • Have fun. I have a lifestyle blog, so I talk about everything not just pregnancy and it's fun.

You clearly have never written anything I've written.
In my world, filters don't exist.

    no....filters....!?

do you have a blog?? I must read, you're my kind of people.
  • I started one just for my friends and family to be updated with this pregnancy. I know some friends on Facebook having TTTC and others with losses. I HATED seeing pregnancy stuff on FB after my loss and I don't anyone to be hurt from my posts/ pictures.

that's SO awesome...I had TTTC for awhile and a miscarriage right before this pregnancy and as much as I love my friends and was happy for their pregnancies (I have a LOT of pregnant or new mom friends) every post stung a little so that's really cool that you're being sensitive :)

I've been trying to remember... Darn mobile.

Was she the one with the white see-through shower dress?

I bet she's on the Facebook group all us meanies were kept out of. The one where the poster worried about her H breaking her water with his penis?

That's because Jenny McCarthy is an idiot.
