I'm one of those people who say, "I got the flu once and thought I was dying. I've gotten a shot ever since." My job required it, too. I also have read the flu vax isn't as reliable in little ones so I want to help protect Howell.
The whole family will get it. I usually don't get it because I hate shots. I made myself get one last year. DD2 couldn't get it so I told myself if I could survive the pain of a csection that I could handle a shot. This reminds me I need to call the girls doctors to get them done. DD1 gets the mist.
We all will. We were supposed to this week but O just came down with a low fever so now I have to wait out his. Probably gonna take C in for hers and do mine at the same time
DD got part of hers and going back next week for the 2nd part. I am going to try and go after work on day this week with my mom, who babysits DD. My DH and dad already got theirs.
yup. DS got his at his 12 month checkup. i got mine at costco this past weekend. DH will get his through work. i work in a public building, DH works with hospice patients, and DS is in daycare, so i think it's important that we all get it.
DS will get the flu shot. DH will not because he is convinced that the one time he got the flu it was because he got the shot. He will not listen to logic. AFM, I am still up in the air. I want to get it for protection but I am so unbelievably scared of needles I am tensing up thinking about it. I may look into the flumist.
Yep, just got mine today. I'm required to get it for work, no shot = no job. I work at a children's hospital.
(And I wanted to get it out of the way as soon as possible since I'm KTFU. I know scientifically speaking, there is no risk of miscarriage from the flu shot. But I'm still nervous getting it in the back of my mind, and I figure if it would cause something to go wrong, I'd rather it be now when I'm only 4.5 weeks along, rather than 8-10 weeks along.)
DS will get it too.
I'll leave it up to DH if he gets it or not, last year I made him get it because DS was so young and unable to get the shot.
