I need all your band-aid tricks!

Nola burned her finger on my flat iron the other day. Long story short, I forgot to close the bathroom door while it was heating up and went to do dishes. She was in the living room and I turned around and she had made a run for the bathroom and pulled it down. It had a huge blister that just popped prematurely. I'm on my third band-aid fixture and they've all lasted about 5 minutes. Any ideas on how to prevent her from continuing to pull off the band-aids?

  • Can you try new-skin or liquid bandaids?

  • @mssm2012 I just have plastic ones in the house. I'll be taking a trip up the road to CVS in a bit to get anything I need to get to make sure this thing stays bandaged!

  • maybe put the bandaid on & then wrap medical tape over it?

  • I was going to say wrap it in medical tape. By the time she figures out how to get the tape off, you'd have another band-aid ready. ;)

  • I would put Neosporin or burn cream on it and just hold her for a while and keep her from bugging it. It might help it seal a little.  Eventually she might forget about it or just avoid picking at it when she realizes it causes pain when she touches it.  I've never been able to keep bandaids on my little ones fingers or anything until they got about 3.  Sorry :(  Hope little one feels better soon!  I've done that with my straightener before, too!
