Jake's parents are basically nonexistent, right? Well, what about Doc's? They say they'll watch her when she goes outside, but how's it possible that they don't see toys come to life around her??

I stayed home with Bryson yesterday and Doc McStuffins was on in the background all day. If I sing the "I feel better" song one more time today, I'm cutting out my tongue.

@hijoi I thought the same thing about Jake and company. I've been shocked MH doesn't gripe about Doc because it's more girly, but I think it beats Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in terms of the annoying level.

@hijinx I think it's really more annoying because it was on repeat before we found other shows. Doc will be that way soon.

I agree that some of these shows need to have more adults in them...

Hayden likes Sofia the First. Those songs get stuck in my head for days. And the ones on Yo Gabba Gabba.

My husband made up a Yo Gabba Gabba song called "My hands do this." He sings it like Plex and tickles Hayden.

I, on the other hand, have been known to watch an episode or two of Chuggingtons all by myself........

I like Sophia the First too, and Charlie has no interest in it. So I end up turning it on and pretending it's for her, or waiting until MH is at work in the evening and after she goes to bed I turn it on. $:\$ ">

I like Sofia the First too. I watched some yesterday and got mad at the kid's for ruining Baileywick's birthday. Bryson was asleep in my lap.

Doc is annoying. I go around singing "time for your check-up", ugh! And I like Sofia also. But I get mad at myself because I have always said that if I have a little girl, I didn't want her to grow up watching princess shows and movies. Like all the Disney movies. Because I feel like it puts a picture in little girls heads that life is a fairy tale, and your prince charming will come rescue one day. That isn't real life!!

@almrkp11 I always thought that too, but I think that's why I like Sophia. She is a princess, but she really does her best to be a good person and learns more about being good at the same time. She's not happy with some prince riding up on his white stallion to rescue her, she is the one to rescue the kingdom and her friends and race against the boys and win.

True! She does invite her friends from the village to come play with her! But her sister is a different story!

Ok someone explain Sophia to me. I can't figure is out. Did her mom marry the king or did the king & queen adopt her?

I personally enjoy Doc, minus the songs. My kid is only allowed to watch Disney Jr, those are the only ones I can stand. Octonauts is her favorite.

@britbrafjf Sofia's mom was the towns seamstress, cobbler, something peasenty. She did some work for the king. He was a widow w two kids, she's a single mom. BAM! Royal wedding. Sofia is trying to learn how to be royal. I don't remember where Sofia's dad is

I have it on in the background because I know it's safe for him to hear. I don't let him sit and watch unless I need to do something else, and even then, it's not for long. He'll always stop dead in his tracks if they start singing, though because he has to dance.

He's perfectly content snuggling and watching TV, though, so we usually watch something on Saturday and Sunday mornings and before naps.
