Pelvic Pain Question

Hey ladies,

This past week I have been having really bad pelvic pain. It use to only bother me if I walked a lot in that day but now it seems to bother me standing up, standing, walking, etc.. Pretty much all the time. Its pretty early in my pregnancy & I'm wondering if you experienced this & what you did if anything to help. I wear my support belt and that doesn't seem to make it any better. I made an apt with my OB but I am convinced he is just going to say its normal and he cant do anything about it. Any help is greatly appreciated! TIA

Re: Pelvic Pain Question

  • I have it horribly. It started off as if I did to much that day it would hurt at night now on bed rest I'm not moving very much and it hurts all the time. For me it just gets worse each week and now I want to cry just trying to roll over in bed. I don't think there is much they can really do as it the hormones causing the pelvic area to relax. It gets worse with each subsequent pregnancy too. Try heating pads and I found if I was able to lock my pelvic bone in a stable position for a while ( like in a recliner seat laid back so pressure is taken off and it's stabilized in a natural position) it helped ease pain for some time. But there isn't anything they can do besides tell you to take it easy. Google PGP there are links to help give ideas on stabilizing the pelvic bone for relief. It's no fun I know :(

  • I had this too and it was so miserable. Nothing really helped me much but make sure you are sleeping with a pillow between your knees and press knees together when you roll over.

For me pain was immediately relieved after delivery and the pain from my c-section was actually preferable to the pain I had before.
