Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Pain Management

Hi Moms,

My LO has been super drooly the past month and the past two weeks has had diahrrea, which I hear is part of teething, but the past few days has been super fussy. I have been given LO tylenol maybe 3 times, and has not been able to sleep comfortably and naps are pretty much cat naps. LO is 16 wks and still can't hold teethers alone or sophie for very long. What other types of things can we do? How long does this go on for until the tooth breaks through the gums?

Thank you! I have the tablets, but I feel like they didn't do much. I will have to try the Gel.

  • Hi, I'm new to this board - I've mostly been on June 13. I've heard the washcloth one too. Get it wet and put it in the freezer. Kennedy has started grabbing her burp cloths and it's straight to the mouth. So hopefully that will work with your LO. Good luck!
I will have to try that out! Thank you!

I'm right there with you. We've had to give Tylenol too. We bought a razberry teether and she seems to like chewing on that but we have to hold it for her. A few ladies here have suggested cold wet cloth to help. Lo has taken that once. I wish I had more advice but my lo's haven't broken thru yet so I'm not sure how much longer to anticipate before they do. Gl
Thank you!! We have that teether too and we do the same and hold it for him. He hasn't gnawed on the actual center part, but more the green parts. LOL! I am sure in time he will like it. We are going to try the cloth today and his nose has been a faucet last night and this morning so I think we are moving towards the breaking gum part!

  • They've actually suggested to not put things in the freezer and have LOs gnaw on them. They say cold, not frozen is best as the frozen isn't good for their gums after all.

Our LO is 4.5mo, has no signs of teething yet but the teeth buds are always moving in their jaws. She is super drooly, puts everything in her mouth and her gums aren't showing any signs of teeth.
