Any one know a kurt? We just thought of he name last night... Thinking it could be up in top names. Middle names? Suggestions? Etc? We don't really like Curtis but just kurt
The Kurt I know is older (and, well, kind of curt), but I think I like the name. I prefer Kirk, but I think it's really underused and has a kind of charm about it. I would love to meet a kid named Kurt amidst all the Aidans and Jacksons!
Something longer works well as a MN with Kurt, so...
One of my best friends in high school is named Kurt. He is a wonderful guy and an extremely hard worker- also a great dad. So I love the name by good associations... It is his full name. I definitely think it is a stand alone name if you want it to be.
I have a cousin named Curtis, but goes by Curt. I also had a cousin named Kirk, but he passed away.
I don't hate either name, but I don't love them. I have positive associations with both, but for some reason, I don't really like the way either of them sound.
I feel the same way! I work with kids and I never hear the name... Kirk reminds me of Captain Kirk! Haha my DH likes it though. (:

That's nuts! We were just talking over middle names and I would love for it to be a family name. My grandpas name was Donald Wayne so I was thinking maybe kurt Donald or kurt Wayne. Haha never thought about kurt Cobain!

I love it, but could never use it (it's an ex's name!)
Kurt, the German spelling, is totally a standalone name.
