  Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)
  DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18

  How are you handling the legal side of a same sex marriage as far as the kids? I mean, your "birth mother," so will your SO adopt to get parental rights also? Is that even how it works?

  We're in a state where this is a non-issue. In fact, because we're married, her name was automatically added to their birth certificates at birth (presumption of parenthood, just like for straight couples).
