daycare pictures

Our daycare has picture day on Thursday. I'm excited... and now of course have no idea what LO should wear. I love dressing LO like a little dude (he wears jeans and "cool" onesies, for example) but I'm not sure what'll work well in a picture. We're in this funky in - between - seasons weather, but daycare will dress him in whatever we want, just for the photo (which is good, because he's bound to have a blowout if I put him in something cute.) Of course, in the size he's in now... we don't really have any sweaters or anything, and a onesie with a screen printed dinosaur doesn't really seem photo appropriate, y'know? He has a red plaid collared shirt onesie that I bought before he was born (when I thought he'd be in this size in the dead of winter, not when it's still 75 degrees outside) - would that and a pair of jeans look goofy, do you think?

ETA - we are doing his 6 month / family photos in late October, and I'll put more thought into what he wears for that... but I'm sure I'll end up buying these, too.

    I would go with the red plaid shirt, for sure! Generally, try to avoid putting him in blues or grays for picture days because the backdrops most school photo companies use are blue or gray. Red would look really cute!

    That's super cute! I actually kind of like that it's kind of old school. :) I can think of all the "perfect" things for him to wear.. but they're all too small or too big. Hm. A trip to Target may be in order (bad, Allison, Bad. He has PLENTY of clothes.)

    OMG, I love this!! My H would DIE if I put him in this... I'm from "stuffy New England" and my H is a laid-back surfer / skiier dude from Colorado / California, but you know what? Mamas always win these arguments ;-)
