Do you have 6 month shots?

I had DH call to reschedule DS' 6 month appointment and he said they won't do any shots again till his 9 month appointment. I checked the CDC website and it says he should be getting like 7 vaccines at his 6 month appt. I'm confused. Does your LO get shots at his/her 6 month appointment?

I have a couple days off the week his appt is scheduled, and I don't want a super crabby baby (last time he was cranky for a full week). So if he is getting shots, I want it to be a different week. I suppose that is selfish of me, but I want to do some fun things with him rather than staying home with a super cranky baby.

    I don't know who misinformed him, but he called back and got the right information. He is getting the 6 month vaccines at his 6 month appointment. Weird. Also got it changed to the week prior - yay.

    We did ours last week, he got an oral and 3 shots plus the flu shot. He was okay after an hour or so too.

    Yes, we are getting the same stuff we got at the 2 and 4 month visits, and also a flu shot.

    Many are combined vaccines so you get 8 but like 5 are in one shot. Generally there are no more than 3-4 shots total and they split them between legs. And the vast majority of the time I think shots are harder on parents than on kids anyhow. : )

    Ditto!  And the girls did way better with the 4 mos ones than the 2 mos ones, so I suspect the 6 month ones will be fine.  the only newbie is the flu one, and I don't expect more than a day of crabbiness.

    TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

    Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
