If I put her down she cries!

I'm so frustrated. If I put my baby down she cries. I don't just mean she fusses, she all out cries and it doesn't stop just by picking her back up. I have to tote her around or take her outside to get her to calm down. She goes to daycare just fine and is always really good when we're not at home but if we're at our house I can't get away from her! The rare times my husband is home I still don't get relief because she cries if he holds her. It's exhausting. Any advice on what to do with the clingiest baby ever?

  • Can you wear her so that at least you have your hands free? Other than that, no advice really, I'm sorry.

  • As pp said, get a carrier. I recommend an ergo or mai tai. I have a clingy fussy babe too :(

  • Sometimes if my DD sees me and I'm not holding her she just stares at me and cries. My DH could be holding her right next to me but that is not good enough for her. I'm hoping she outgrows it.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions and hope that this too shall pass!
  • We have days like this. He is much too big for the carriers I have. Grocery shopping yesterday was so exhausting. I wonder id it would be worth getting a new carrier at this point so close to crawling and sitting up in a cart.

  • @mommymorticia get one! You will use it and love it. Especially if you plan on more kids. Plus they have decent resale on craigslist.

Ok, that's true we can always save it. I'll look around for one that's maybe for a young toddler or bigger baby.
