3rd Trimester

cant feel baby move

I am at 16 weeks and was amazed when I felt the baby move at the end of 15 weeks. I could feel the baby move 2 or 3 times a day for several minuets. Now I have not felt the baby move in almost 2 days.  Should I be concerned?

Re: cant feel baby move

  • At 16 weeks, I think it is normal to not feel the baby move for a few days... I know I did not feel my LO every day until I was 22-23 weeks.
If you are really concerned do call your doctor, better safe then sorry.

  • Also, this is the third tri board, you may want to head over to the second tri board. Those women are all around the same stage of pregnancy as you. Most women won't feel regular movements til after 20 weeks so I wouldn't panic.

  • My doctor told me I would most likely feel the baby move daily around week 20.
  • I started to feel little flutters at about 16 weeks but not every day until about 19 weeks.  You should be fine but definitely ask your doctor for confirmation!  Good luck mama!
  • with my first I NEVER felt my son move.  At around 22 weeks I put a remote on my belly and it shook and that was my first sign.  My son ended up being breached which is why I never felt him.  I was never worried.

  • Yeah, not until mid to late 2nd tri will you feel the baby move every day. You don't need to worry about kick counts until the 3rd tri.
