  You have to work 600 hours in order to qualify for mat leave. I don't think you can get an extension. I thought you had to go back to work and get those hours to qualify again

  You have to work 600 hrs to qualify for EI, so there is the issue of money / EU then there is your employer holding your job. Two separate things
