What could these pains mean?

Hello all...I'm 37 weeks +3 days pregnant with my first and all evening I've been having these annoying pains. They're kind of crampy, sharp, and shooting. They are in a localized area of my belly, like either the lower part, or the side, not my whole belly. Position change helps a tiny bit, but not much. They aren't regular at all, can't be timed or anything...just kind of constant and have varied in intensity throughout the night. I'm not doubling over in pain but I'm uncomfortable. I have polyhydramnios, if that means anything. Any ideas what these pains are or what they could mean?

You body is getting ready for labor within days or weeks. Sounds normal. Call ur doc if concerned

I am 37wk 2d and had the exact same thing going on yesterday. I'm fine now I just assumed they were growing pains?

I had the same thing at 37 and a half weeks. Sometimes it stopped me from being able to walk. I wasn't concerned because I knew they weren't contraction like, but called my doctor and they agreed with me that it sounded like round ligament pain. Now, I should clarify, it sounds to me much like the same thing, but I'm not your doctor and I would suggest calling and telling them and letting them make the call as to whether or not it is something they want to check.
