New to the board and question about estradiol

Hi everyone. I am new to the board. I am 38 and my husband is 36. This will be our first baby. I was in the midst of completing all of my RE tests, waiting to have my HSG and come up with a plan when I found out I was pregnant. I'm still in shock and a bit nervous but I am excited to move to this board!

Question for everyone:

My first HCG was 156.7, my progesterone was 51.73 and my estriadol level was 111.6. I guess that is a little low so they are putting me on 2mg of Estradiol 2x a day. Has anyone ever heard of this being given early in pregnancy? I have to go back Saturday am to repeat the bloodwork and have an US in 7-10 days.

    We have a similar story, I was also waiting to schedule my HSG when I got my bfp! Congratulations! I am no help when it comes to advice regarding estradiol but I wanted to say welcome to the board. :)

    This is an FET pregnancy for me, so I have been on estradiol since before the transfer. I take 3 Estrace a day + the Vivelle patch every few days. I also do a progesterone injection every night. I know the labels say not to take this during pregnancy but it's very commonly prescribed for IVF pregnancies.

    I saw your post on the TTC board.   I wanted you to know that Estradiol is commonly used by RE's.  You have to remember that this is their specialty and they wouldn't prescribe it if it wasn't proven safe.  They want you to carry to term.

    This is the first time I am pregnant and like the pp I also had a FET. I have been on 2 estradiol orally and 4 vaginally. I am 7 weeks today and 2 days ago my dr took me off of my vivelle patches, vaginal estradiol, and my daily progesterone shot due to me having a serious reaction. I have whelps/rashes all over my body. I am scared since there have been so many changes to my meds all at one time.
