why is the last stretch taking so long

I am really trying not to concentrate on how much longer i have. today i am 37 weeks. i know its best to wait until the baby is 39 weeks. ( because i can control when i go into labor lol) but these last few weeks/days are lingering! i count the days all different kind of ways , thinking maybe it will get shorter GRRRR so ready meet my baby!

I'm 28 weeks almost 29 and already I feel like I am ready to meet this baby boy and be done with pregnancy!

I know right? The days seem to crawl by, esp if you're not working or start to get some really bad symptoms right at the end.

I remember feeling that way with my first pregnancy, wanting it to hurry up and be over so I could meet LO. Now with this one, I'm telling him to stay put as long as he wants! I'm stressing out about having 2!

I'm right there with ya. Will be 38 weeks on Monday and slowly becoming miserable. Every twinge that feels different I hope is labor beginning. Luckily I have work to distract me, however my work projects are pretty much wrapped up and I'm just backup help until maternity leave starts.

Same here! The days seem to drag ass! Ugh.

I just hit 30 weeks. I have 9 weeks and one day left. Although we are nowhere near ready house-wise for new baby...I'm SO ready to be on leave and to not be the size of a meteor. I want to be able to breathe, sleep, walk, bend over, tie my shoes, stand/cook/clean for more than 5 minutes without feeling like I need to lay down before I fall down. This is my second baby in "just" over two years. I'm ready to be done being pregnant now.

I'm on my 38th week and am also ready to not be pregnant anymore. I want to sleep on my belly and not have to roll on my side to get out of bed. I want to wear tennis shoes and tie them without taking breaks in between knots.

I'm excited to meet my little girl. She's absolutely darling in my dreams!

Hopefully she comes on time but I have a feeling she might be a little late.

I'm almost 39 weeks and I didn't realize cramps come before labor. I've had menstrual like cramps for a week and a half but no labor yet :-( I can't wait to not be crampy anymore!

I think it goes slower because you feel huge, awkward & sore. You are over being pg by 37 weeks usually. I hope you don't go over due!

Just remember the longer baby bakes the better. Take some warm baths, and breathe deeply. I've been there. Hang tough!

Yeah that's one of those things that they never tell you. I'm sorry about the cramps. That's really tough.

37 week time crawl is nothing compared to almost 40 week time crawl. At that point the minutes literally seem like hour waiting for labor to start

I'm 29 weeks with my second child. My 1st pregnancy seemed to last forever. This time around its going by fast but my anxiety makes it seem like a lifetime before my lil man gets here

Im 31 weeks and have GD, so my weeks and days are dragging!!!! I can not wait to see my little boy and get off this damn GD diet!!! I want a cinnobon!!!!!:((

all weekend i was having braxton hicks and cramping, hoping it was leading to something real, but unfortunately not, i have 17 days until my due date hoping it wont go that far, but this one has me wondering if he will not wait until the last minute

i know, its just so hard, especially because i found out when i was like 3 weeks pregnant by accident. so i feel like and elephant that has been pregnant for years lol, i think i will take a warm bath today

I feel the same as you ladies. I've been out of work since 33 weeks due to my high blood pressure (5 weeks earlier than I hoped for!) so time has been dragging for me because I don't have too much to keep me super busy. I was working 10hr days so the time then definitely passed a lot quicker! We're almost there though !!

I know how u feel. I had 5 mos between pregnancies and it wasn't long enough. Ready to not be pregnant and get fit again! I went 42 weeks with my first and its possible I will this time too. Meaning I have about 3 weeks to go yet........

When i am at work all i can do is think of the projects i need to complete at home, and when i am at home i get exhausted so easily i can barely get anything done, then i need to lay day . frustrating
