Ugh! Mom fail!

Well, it finally happened...LO fell off the bed this morning! I was super tired and she was only wanting to be in bed with me, so I let her. I fell asleep for a few minutes and heard a loud crash. She must have rolled off asleep. She was on her back on the rug next to the bed. I feel so bad, but she's totally fine and acting like nothing happened. Thank goodness babies are like rubber bouncy balls! Who else has had this fun experience?

    It happened with my LO when she was 6 months.  It was a pretty traumatic experience for both of us.  I am super vigilant now!

    K rolled off his changing table once. He was taking his milk while I was changing him and I took my hand off him for 2 secs to open a new pack of wipes and BOOM! I felt awful. He choked on his milk and screamed and cried, but fortunately he got over it pretty quickly and was unharmed. I was a wreck though!

    You're not a bad mom. It happens to all of us I'm sure! Wes fell off the bed a couple of months ago. He cried for just a bit and then was fine. It's not a good feeling though, I know!

    My son fell off his bumbo that was on top of the dining room table when he was 8 months.  He had never tried to climb out of it until that day.  I looked away for a split second, and down on the floor he went.  I felt like the worst mother in the world. He had a MRI and everything was fine, but talk about a scare!  I still feel horrible that it was my fault that he got hurt.

    LO fell out of the bed the night before her birthday the first time.  I put a bunch of pillows on the floor next to the bed after that.  She has fallen out one more time and the pillows helped!  Sigh...she's just so wiggly now and she tosses and turns in the bed etc.

    DH was changing her today and turned away for a second to look for a hamper for her dirty clothes and she fell off the changing table.  He said he broke her fall with his foot...but that doesn't sound too nice.  I was already at work when this happened.

    Thank goodness, she hasn't fallen off the bed yet.  We have one of those beds that you need a stool to climb up into, so I'm pretty sure a fall off of it and onto the hardwood floor would require a trip to the ER.  She has fallen off the couch onto her head.  I was pretty traumatized, but she got over it quickly.

    I knew you all would make me feel normal for this happening!  :) And, I don't necessarily "love" all of the bad accidents that everyone posted, but rather wanted to show my appreciation for your replies.  Hope you all have a fantastic week!
