Weekend high/low?

So, how was everyone's weekends? Highs? Lows?

High: I managed to get through Hannah's birthday party, despite H working all day and having no help. Once everything was cleaned up, I felt like super mom.

Low: I accidentally mistook an ambien for my thyroid medicine Saturday morning. Luckily I realized after like a half hour, when I was feeling really loopy, so I didn't drive anywhere or really do anything all day aside from take care of Hannah. Long day.

High: I got a lot accomplished this weekend. I set up my dry-erase board to help me organize my life. I spent some good time with my girls over the weekend and just had fun with them.

Low: I fell down a flight of stairs yesterday and I am so sore today.

Low: birthday party was near perfect. I am exhausted. So happy to just relax and spend time with the baby.

This. I've never ran a marathon, but I imagine it feels much like I felt yesterday.

High- We had a nice lunch and walk as a family yesterday.

Low- I took E to a birthday party on Saturday and DH had alone time. Yesterday he took E on a bike ride so I could have some alone time. Well, E fussed and whined because of his helmet. I had just gotten into bed for a nice nap when they came back home and I was so disappointed I didn't get my time that I almost cried. I really just wanted to sleep uninterrupted.

Right? Saturday night I could no longer physically move myself. Crazy. Also, she won't play with me. I at least feel like I am available to her if she wants me.

High: Celebrating DH's Godson's baptism on Saturday. We're so blessed to have awesome friends in our lives and that we'll be part of their children's lives as well as them in our boy's lives. (She's Aedan's Godmom too).

Low: One of our labs bit the other one and we ended up at the doggie hospital late Saturday night. Our 9 year old Lab had to have surgery in the middle of the night to fix it. Needless to say I didn't sleep Saturday night or last night, thanks to his annoying cone and bumping it all over our room all night. I just feel so bad for him right now.

ETA: Oh and it was almost $600...ick!

Every muscle in my body was sore, and then I was still so wound up from running around nonstop since 7am, that I couldn't even fall asleep. H just brought me a maple bacon donut though, I'm feeling much better.

High: Having a weekend with no set plans and just being able to relax. One of my favorite things was taking a nap with Lily on Saturday.

Low: I didn't really have one, but I am disappointed that I'm not caught up on Dexter, so I missed the final episode.

High: My niece is in town with her fiance who we've never met. The last time I saw her was when my Dad died, so it was cool seeing her, meeting her fiance and having them both meet Nancy. We celebrated my brother's birthday yesterday with all of them and Nancy didn't cry through our horrible rendition of "Happy Birthday" like she did last time, so that's progress!

Low: We had family field trip on Saturday and went to the Madison Farmer's Market. It's so cool. But there was a Badger game, a 1/2 marathon and some foodie fest so there were a million people there. It went quickly downhill. Very quickly downhill.

High: Steak dinner and Comedy Club date night for DH's birthday Saturday

Low: Last night the kids were coughing all night and I was glued to the monitor watching them (they share a room now) and we gave DD Benedryl at 12:30am. Then DS started coughing at 2:30. I was basically up every 2 hours last night, ugh. I really hope it's just allergies and not more serious. Whooping cough is apparently going around.

High: I have been in a girls trip all weekend out of town. Good food, drinks, shopping.

Low: I bailed on my Olympic triathlon yesterday because I had an episode of exercise induced anaphylaxis last week and was too scared to race.

High: So many. We went to a farm/pumpkin patch on Friday for Leo's birthday and he started walking. Great weather and fun time during our family pictures on Saturday. Lazy day yesterday.

Low: FIL was in town and he spilled a Dt Coke on our couch. He is a walking disaster and always breaks or stains something when he visits.

High: We had Corinne's party and it went great. And she took her first steps Saturday at the party. We also went to a pumpkin farm yesterday with the girls,my dad,step-mom and little brother, it was so much fun!

Low: I am EXHAUSTED.

Low: DD got 2 stitches in her lip due to a fall at daycare on Friday.

High: I managed to complete the "trifecta" by Sunday afternoon: all laundry complete and folded, house totally cleaned top to bottom, and meals planned/groceries purchased and prepped!! This rarely happens because we are rarely home for the entire weekend!! Of course, spending time with DD was the best

Low: Fighting with DH over how he took our family picture and Kate's 1st birthday portrait. He took great photos, I'm a perfectionist and have to nag him about every freakin' detail....sigh.

High: Took L to her first football game and tailgate. She was a gem all day.

Low: Our team looked like a disaster and it poured through most f the game.

Low2: I have an awful stomach bug.

High: DS's party was a lot of fun on Sunday.

Low: Barely anyone showed up for the party. It really bugs me when people RSVP and then don't come.

But, DS didn't know or care who was there & he had a great time, so I guess that's all that matters.

High: My sisters bridal shower is next weekend so I had to work on a ton of projects/decor. I've finally finished all the games, decor, and prep needed to the shower. All that's left is food shopping.

Low: I had food poisoning for about 36 hours starting Friday afternoon. I thought I was dying and had to miss work on saturday morning. Luckily DH was super helpful with DD as well as taking care of me.

High: Celebrating Sawyer's 1st birthday on Sunday. We had a nice, relaxing day and she ate her first cupcake.

Low: I took Becks to a bday party for one of his school friends on Saturday. A bigger kid punched him in the face. TWICE. That kid's dad suggested that my son just hit back instead of crying like a pussy. We left the party but I was very tempted to beat the hell out of that dad.

High: the wedding I was in was a ton of fun! Quinn's party on Sunday went really well and she had a great time!

Low: I was so exhausted last night. Between wedding festivities Friday and Saturday and Quinn's party Sunday I was freaking exhausted last night. I'm so happy to have that all done and be back to normal.

High: Spending Friday/Saturday with DH. My parents took B overnight so we could go out of town and celebrate our anniversary! We had so much fun and reconnected as a couple instead of "mom & dad." We need to make that more of a priority these days.

Low: Wasn't from the weekend but going back to work today ( I had 9 days off.) I was so bummed to wake up this morning! Plus DS went to daycare today for the 1st time ever. My mom usually watches him but they are at Mayo for my grandma (whole other story.) I felt so sad dropping him off but what makes it better is that it's right next door to my parents and when I called to check on him she said he was doing awesome and was having a blast!

High: DS's party was (mostly) a lot of fun on Saturday, and all of my planning turned out really, really well. This was the cake: (sorry if it's huge! ETA: also bad quality. it's a cell phone picture, the others haven't been uploaded yet!)

Low: DH's family sucked ass at the party. There's a LOT of backstory, but FIL was a grumpy asshole the entire time, MIL managed to pack up and take home 95% of the leftover food without asking, and DH's grandfather decided it was time to leave and just sat in the car for 45 minutes waiting for everyone else to join him (DH's parents, brother, and sister are currently living with his grandparents). It was just a real downer for DH, since he was really looking forward to DS's party and celebrating with everyone.

It's definitely the last time we are doing something with both of our families there.

High: Owen's 1st Birthday (fellow bumpie) and I found out my brother and his wife are having a boy! I'm pretty stoked to see Charleigh and my nephew grow up together since my brother and i were twins. It will be fun to get pictures of them as they grow older.

Low: I found out I don't bounce back from a night of drinking that fast anymore. SOO hungover sunday.

High: making a sensory table for dd.
Low: my granny past away last week and her funeral was on Saturday. It's still really hard for me to believe that she is gone. For some reason the kid in me thought she would live forever. I also feel guilty for not going to see her in the hospital before she passed. I forgot and fell asleep and i was not able to say goodbye.

Hi: The weather held out for DD's party at the zoo & it was so much nicer out than I could have hoped.

Lo: She developed a swollen red rash on her hand that could possibly be cellulitis. Had her at the pedi today for it & if Benadryl doesn't help it, then we have to bring her back in.

Highs: Saturday was my birthday, and after successfully completing my first-ever mud run, I went to dinner with DH and the kids and a local Italian place we love. And, DH got me an iPad, and DS made me an adorable art project with leaves and acorns. Also, I had yesterday off to take DD to the doctor and get some other stuff done.

Lows: I was pretty sore from some of the obstacles and didn't work out anymore after Saturday and continue to eat too many m&ms, thus negating my awesome adventure workout. Even with the extra day off, I still feel perpetually overwhelmed and have way too many things on my to-do list at work and home.
