QFT. We have annoying solicitors that like to come by every now and then to harrass us with nonsense. If anyone knocks on my door during naptime causing my dog to bark, and in turn, waking my kid up....I'll cut a bitch, I swear!

  • I called the police in August because neighbors down the street set off fireworks @ 10 pm. It was so loud. It was a Thursday fucking night and my kid was asleep. Also, they're illegal here and the houses are really close together. I regret nothing.

  • Some assclown thought it was great to set off a minute long firework going BOOM BOOM BOOM at 9pm. Resulting in our son freaking the fuck out, and getting out of bed 8 times last night. After 4 months we got him down to 1-2 a night. I was so pissed. It's September assholes

honestly, if i didn't know the people i wouldn't ask first because then if you do end up having to involve the cops they'll know who it was that called. if i knew the neighbors and were friendly i would ask first. keeping your music at a normal level isnt rocket science its common courtesy. 'noise polution' is illegal whether coming from cars, homes, etc. loud enough to shake a window and trip an alarm is quite obviously too loud. if you aren't courtious enough to know that i dont need to be courtious enough to politely ask you to turn it down before involving the cops. respect recieves respect and vis-versa.

But what if it was Rock N' Roll? Rock N' Roll ain't noise pollution.

  • Our neighbors have blasted music daily is car we moved in. We can always hear it. Always. Now, if the kids sleep through it and the white noise machines cover it up, we'll don't bother.
If even that won't work, we have gone over a few times. Usually that helps for a bit. However, they get extremely rude and bitchy about it, so now we just call by law for a noise complaint.

I figure they know that there are kids next door and that they will always be bothered by noise.if they choose to be assholes about it, I'll just call bylaw. Or, next time it also smells like weed, the cops. That should quiet things down. Hopefully.
