Monday GIF story - I have a job?

As some of you may remember, I interviewed for a job last week with the company my husband works for.
They loved me!
Especially since I have a graduate degree and am applying for a seasonal position that does require some analytical ability
But I got a call saying they could not hire me because it was a violation (SARC?) because my husband is like a VP or something.
I told my DH, and he was a little shocked, and, having no idea what they were talking about, told his boss
Who was also shocked, said "we hire people's kids for these seasonal jobs all the time!"
The boss called bullshit
sent some emails
And got an official answer from HR that there was no such policy and that their records showed I did not interview because the hiring manager removed my name from the list when they saw it was the same last name as my husband's
At this point, everyone is confused. And the boss is floored that the company passed on a person with a grad degree for this position
My husband, happens to run into the VP of the department I interviewed for during lunch
They bonded when my husband drove the VP through a snowstorm for a conference they were going to
My husband told him what was going on
This led to more confusion, and a new set of phone calls and emails by the VP who was not happy that his department passed on me
Apparently, someone made a mistake
They thought it was a Sarbanes Oxley violation
WTF?!
The VP overrode the earlier decision
Is giving me a position slightly above the one I interviewed for that will utilize my education a little better
And I start on Monday
Now to get ready to go pee in a cup (glad I've been practicing on those q-tips)!
They loved me!

So it's like having your DH working there paid off in the end! It's like a big ole slap in that person's face. It seems they do not know how to do their job and should probably not be making these kinds of decisions for the company! But WOOO HOOO for employment! Does this mean less gif stories? Because then I will tone down my wooing to WOO HOO!
I'm glad they were able to work things out and make this happen! You are great and they almost missed out on that.

BFP#1: 2/2/13 ~ exact m/c date unknown but around 3/20 at 10 weeks ~ diagnosed with PMP ~ D&C on 4/5 ~ TTA for at least 1 year due to PMP ~ cleared to TTC 1/14
BFP#2: 2/7/14 ~ m/c 2/20/14 ~ possibly due to chemical pregnancy ~ TG no D&C is needed
Surprise BFP#3: 4/4/14 ~ super duper extra happy (and nervous) about this one - EDD 12/9/14!!!
John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz. He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!
