My birth educator told me about this website last night.  If you live in VA you can look up any doctors stats on VBAC, episiotomies etc.  I now know of the four doctors in my practice which one to THROW A BITCH FIT  if she walks in the room during labor.  (Three of them have less than 15% episiotomy rates and one its 51%).

    OMG one of the doctors in NOVA has a 77.27% episiotomy rating (17 out of 22 births) !!! Thankfully he isn't in my practice, or the other practice that staffs my hospital's maternity floor, but he is affiliated with the hospital. I will scream bloody murder if he walks through that door.

    Out of the 7 drs at my practice, only 4 are listed on that site.  3 of the 4 has 3 rattles (I guess that means they are good) - two have episiotomy rates of 20%, one is only 7% (and she is my favorite - I HOPE she's the one who's there for me!!!!) - one (who was my second favorite) - has 2 rattles and 43% episiotomy rate! :-S
