I'm going to be having a c-section to deliver my girls and have read that it's absolutely necessary to buy a belly binder. I'm looking at buying a Belly Bandit - but I'm unsure of how to measure with twins...on it's site it says if you're having twins to call their customer service to talk about it. I was a size 16-18 before getting pregnant...just not sure that it'll fit me...regardless, I will call. Just wondering if this is the best brand to go with or if there are others I should be looking at?

Re: Did you use a belly binder?
I would second the hospital comment. If they don't give you one, ask and they will. I ordered a belly bandit and was way less impressed versus the free one from the hospital! Take the one from the hospital and see if you can sweet talk the nurse into giving you an extra, one size smaller for once you start shrinking.
With DD I bought a Belly Bandit and they gave me one in the hospital. I hated the Belly Bandit because it was shorter and when I sat it sat right on my incision. The one from the hospital was wider so it fit much better. It wasn't as tight as the Belly Bandit but it worked fine. I just found mine from when I delivered DD when going through baby things. I'll probably ask for a new one but I'm also thinking about using an Ace bandage to get it as tight as I want.
I ended up selling my Belly Bandit to someone on The Bump.
I'm about 3 months out and only within the last couple weeks could I tolerate anything remotely tight near my incision. Plus I have this weird numb spot above my incision. Idk, not for me.
FWIW, my OB told me to start wearing it less at the 3 week mark to get my abs used to working without support, so the Bandit may not be worth the cost to you. I am so glad I did it though.
And not that this caused it, or that its happened to anyone else that I know of, but the night after I wore it, I noticed my incision coming open. After that, I was too afraid to do it anymore.
