Strange behavior...I think

Okay so my 3 month old daughter is awesome. She is a very good baby and I am so lucky! She sleeps all night, hardly fusses, and is just downright wild lol but there's a strange behavior I've noticed since about a month and a half old...and I wanna know if anyone else has seen this?

She throws her arms to the side, stiffens up, her eyes get wide to the point that scares me and she starts making these weird grunts/cries for about 3 seconds then she screams/cries until I pick her up and make her feel safe (at least that's how I am thinking)...has anyone seen this before? It really scares me/worries me? I mentioned it to the doctor but said he'd have to see it to really know.

    It's a once in a while thing. Not everyday or back to back.

    My LO stiffens up when he has gas.  He also sometimes makes a grunting sound when he is trying to pass the gas, and then cries if he is unsuccessful.  So what you are describing it sounds similar to that...
