DH took over the cooking for tonight- he's making a balsamic and herb rubbed cross rib roast with potatoes and a salad. It smells super good and I hope it turns out well.
There was a worm in my salad. Totally ruined an otherwise delicious dinner.
WHA?? ewwww how did that happen?
Apparently it was a freebie from our CSA veggies this week -- I thought I'd thoroughly washed the lettuce. Totally spit my mouthful out on my plate... which my 3 year old called me on, BTW.
We made breaded chicken cooked in cream of chicken soup--served over pasta. It is one of our favorite Sunday meals. We made it after we put Reese to bed though--it called for an egg to bread the chicken. She had a quick quesadilla.

Can you tell me the steps to this? Sounds awesome!
We had wild mushroom soup (that my dad foraged for in the woods, haha) and home made plum dumplings with my parents. It's an annual tradition I'm too full to move....
It is easy. I take filet boneless chicken breasts--actually tenderloins work well. I then bread them--with breadcrumbs and an egg. I brown them with olive oil in the pan. Then I take a casserole dish--put the chicken pieces in it. Cover it with 2 cans prepared of cream of chicken soup. (I use about 1.5 cans of milk for the 2 cans).
I then put it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 35 minutes covered with foil. I then uncover it and let it cook for about 5 more minutes.
