So, we've had it with Comcast. Like, HAD IT. We do want to keep some sort of 'cable like' (?) tv though; as in, we like to flip through channels to see what's on, and we like movie channels. So if you don't have cable, what do you have? We may or may not be able to get satellite because we're heavily wooded, but I'm going to have them come out to check the signals. What about things like Roku? I'm just not too familiar with the options so any input is appreciated!
Re: Cable Alternatives?
We are looking into Apple TV or Roku 3 right now for our TV upstairs... So far Roku 3 looks interesting! It can do a lot more than Apple TV.
This is why we are so torn on Roku 3 or Apple TV with the way electronics change- we'd buy it, shell out 150 bucks, then in a week they'd have Roku 4 out that does 240 extra things the Roku 3 doesn't. With Apple TV- we have iphones and ipads, but the apple ecosystem also changes at the drop of a hat. But like a PP said- not having to deal with a cable company makes it worth it in the long run!!
